+ MIND THE GAP: RAPID BURSTER BEHAVIOUR EXPLAINED
Scientists observing a curious neutron star in a binary system known as the 'Rapid Burster' may have solved a forty-year-old mystery surrounding its puzzling X-ray bursts. The discovery was made with space telescopes including ESA's XMM-Newton.

+ JWST EARLY RELEASE SCIENCE (ERS) PROGRAM: CALL AND WEBINARS
The Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI) has announced the call for proposals for the Director's Discretionary Early Release Science program. A pre-proposal webinar targeting the Solar System community will be hosted by STScI on Tuesday 7 February, starting at 17:00 CET (11:00 ET), to inform this community about the goals and requirements of the program.
