A music player with SWAG

You’ll never see a turntable with more of a bad-boy personality than the Dude. Designed to rest against a wall like a real dude would, the turntable comes with a mesh door that holds the vinyl in place, and the needle is built right into the door itself. As the record plays, the needle moves along its slot, looking just simply beautiful. The only control you need is the knob on the side that lets you choose your RPM. If you want to pause your music, just lift the door open and the needle disengages. You’ve got a soft fabric covered speaker right below the turntable, enchanting you with audio while the design of the Dude Turntable captivates your eyes.

I often daydream of the day I can ditch my phone, computer and tablet. It’s not that I don’t want to be connected or anything. I would just prefer to have one device that can do it all! That’s the idea behind Vision X. It utilizes a futuristic and flexible OLED screen system to instantly transform from tablet to phone in seconds.

Imagine the possibilities: Need to see more on your maps app? Want to dive into your favorite strategy game? Need to hunker down and do some work while you’re on the go? Just extend the screen! Equipped with x86 Softwares on a Snapdragon Platform by Qualcomm, it’s also as powerful as some PCs when paired with a keyboard. Do you think we’re getting close to having this far-out tech made available? Let us know!

First Aid Made Easy

This design should be oh-so-satisfying for anyone with organizing OCD! It’s called Array and it aims to make accessing first aid supplies a cinch. Because many injuries (even tiny booboos) are time-sensitive for treatment, it’s important that your first aid kit is neatly organized and easily accessible. Array consists of clear slots so you can see each item’s location in the kit instead of digging through a box of messy supplies. As easy to refill as it is to sort through, it’s an ideal solution for any workplace, home or public space.

A watch that buys you land on the moon!

Posted: 09 Mar 2018 05:59 AM PST

We’ll get to the spectacular design of the Moonbronze Coronation XCII watches in a bit, but before that, let’s talk about that article title up there. It’s true. When you purchase a Moonbronze Coronation XCII watch, you’re not just purchasing a watch. You’re also purchasing a plot of land on the moon. Limited to just 222 pieces, the Coronation XCII watches are items of remarkable luxury, as they come with not just an exclusive eye-catching design, but also coordinates etched on the back. These coordinates outline a plot of land on the moon that now belongs to you. Moonbronze affiliates itself with the San Francisco Land Registry, and each watch buys you lunar property spanning 4046.86 square meters or 1 acre in area.

However, with a design that’s pretty much to-die-for, the lunar property bit feels almost like an add-on. The watch boasts of a decagonal (10-sided) face, highlighted beautifully by the chiseled domed sapphire that sits on top. Made with a stainless steel body (and a rose gold coating for the gold variant) the watches come with a Selitta SW 200-1 automatic movement on the inside, sitting below a stunning black watch face with coronation hands that glow, and a day/date exhibition window. Flip the watch over and you’ve got an exhibition back with the coordinates of your lunar plot etched around it.

The Coronation XCII, for a watch that literally screams interplanetary luxury, is pretty reasonably priced. Available for just around $430, you get yourself a remarkable looking watch that comes with a 10-year warranty… and you also get yourself an acre of land on the moon forever! I’d call that a pretty sweet deal.

Tesla Tech for Modern Nomads

As housing shrinks, the number of people getting into camper-style vacationing grows and so does the need for transportable energy sources. If there’s one company that can tackle the task of providing a remote energy for modern nomads, it’s Tesla! Inspired by the brand, designer Arnau Donate has conceptualized this modular high-capacity energy storage system designed specifically for tiny dwellings on wheels!

The plug-and-play system requires no major installation and can be connected in a jiffy to power all the onboard creature comforts of home like electronics, cooking appliances and climate control you need to stay comfy. Each unit is composed of three different modules: the power strips, the batteries and the core. The battery modules can be safely removed at any moment to charge and swapped out endlessly to ensure you never run out of juice. Modules can be recharged using 220V power or connected to portable solar panels for extended-stay trips.

This knife is hole-some and wholesome

Posted: 08 Mar 2018 04:00 PM PST

The best way to describe the CRKT Daktyl is probably to say “futuristic alien design meets minimalism”. The Daktyl takes on a very distinct aesthetic, much like most of CRKT’s tools (take the Snap Lock Knife for example). However, what instantly captures one’s eye is its bare-basic language, with focus going to the circular element in the middle. The circle isn’t just a visual element but is pretty useful too. Built with a carabiner clip and a bottle opening edge, the Daktyl can be suspended from your backpack strap or your belt loop by the ‘O’ element.

The Daktyl’s blade and handle are in a lot of ways similar to the Snap Lock. The blade opens sideways as opposed to most switchblade knives, and comes with a locking and unlocking clip. Close the blade and it sits perfectly inside the hollowed handle, with its sharp edge hidden away. Open the blade out and you’ve got a pretty marvelous looking knife with an eye-catching ‘O’ element in the middle and a wonderfully light looking hollow handle. Designed by Tom Hitchcock for the Columbia River Knife and Tool company, the Daktyl weighs and incredibly light 2.4 ounces and comes with a lifetime warranty.

Combining light and flight!

Part toy, part illumination device, the CYRO lamp is full fun! Crafted out of white ash wood, the CYRO models itself on self-balancing toys, except the bird has 5 LEDs on its underbelly. The lamp can literally be placed on any surface and it will hold its position, balancing itself with the kind of grace that’s almost envious. Push it gently, and it will rock back and forth until it gradually settles down again. The bird comes with a lamp underneath that can be activated by tapping the upper part of the bird. Tap it once for 30% brightness and twice for maximum brightness. A third tap turns it off.

The bird/lamp also comes with a platform of its own that acts as not just a visually appealing base for the bird but also a charging dock. Modeled to look like a tree, the platform comes with a branch that the bird can dock into and charge itself. Once charged, the bird can be used on teh platform, or even carried around anywhere, turning into a toy/lamp wherever you need it. Useful but more importantly, playful too, the CYRO is a lamp with a unique user experience that isn’t easy to forget!

iPhone on the front, Gameboy on the back!

Posted: 08 Mar 2018 01:17 PM PST

I’d say this was “hand’s down” the best iPhone case I’ve seen, but those words wouldn’t really be accurate because, with this case, you’re never putting your hands down!

The Wanle phone case for the iPhone (compatible with iPhones 6 onwards) turns your futuristic device into a slice of retro gaming heaven. It uses the backside of your phone and turns it into a retro Gameboy of sorts, letting you play classic games like Tetris, Tank, F1 Racing, and the legendary Snake. Without inhibiting any of your iPhone’s functions or ports, the Wanle case sits nicely on the back of your smartphone, turning what would be just a plain metal surface into a gamer’s paradise. It uses its own button-cell battery to power the video games at the back, allowing you to simply flip your phone over when you want to game without draining your iPhone’s battery. The cover case is beautifully designed with a curvature that feels great to the touch and actual 3D buttons that feel like the real thing. Built with 10 games, the Wanle is the perfect retro addition to your futuristic phone! I guess some people CAN have the best of both worlds!
