When last we met, the social season of 1813 was winding down. And as the esteemed members of our ton lazily sojourned in their rustic retreats, this author was doing but one thing: sharpening my knives. Dearest gentle readers, as we enter another social season, one can be sure I will uncover every scandal.
Remind me where we left off.
With Daphne Bridgerton at last happily married to her beloved Duke of Hastings and having given birth from her well-used marital bed, while every Featherington sister remains on the marriage mart. And as for any attempts to unmask this author? Unsuccessful, but of course.

Colin set off for adventures abroad. Benedict confessed to courting the modiste Genevieve Delacroix. As for Lord Anthony Bridgerton, it appears heartbreak has inspired this rake to seek a bride — despite a complete disregard for finding a true love match. Curious indeed.
And of what is to come?
This season’s diamond is yet to be named, but the ton is buzzing about the return of Lady Mary Sharma. She has brought her daughters — Kate and Edwina — to the marriage mart that once threatened her own honor. This author suspects they will make their mark in Mayfair.
