Happy Valentine’s Day, John!
For most of my life, today meant little to me.
I like to “joke” with audiences that in my 40’s, as I was about to celebrate a record long-term relationship milestone (on the verge of making it to 10 entire months), I found out my girlfriend had a new boyfriend... and it wasn’t me. It was one of the most difficult times I’ve ever endured.
A few years later, however, at 47 and in Mexico to speak for a weekend event, I met someone amazing (who spoke no English!). Ten years later, we’re married, have a beautiful daughter, my wife speaks English, and I often feel like I’m living a fairy tale. Read the full story here. |
