Dear John,

When I was about 16 my Dad said to me, “Son you can find a good biscuit in the trash but that is not really where you want to look.”

I didn’t really know what he meant by that at first. Then he explained “You can go out and start digging in the trash and you might just find a biscuit that is still ok to eat but in the process you get dirty and you will smell like garbage. The best place to look for a good biscuit is a place that is known for great biscuits and nothing is better than a fresh baked warm- from-the-oven biscuit.”

Where are you looking for the “biscuits” in your life? I doubt your first choice for a good meal is the dumpster behind the local diner! Why would you feed your mind out of the dumpster? When it comes to the most important things in life - our mental, spiritual, physical, family, financial, personal, and career health, where are you getting your food from?

Your mind is an amazing thing - feed it well!
