The accumulating layers of suffering can be hard to comprehend — U.S. allies fleeing Afghanistan, Haiti rocked by another devastating earthquake, COVID cases on the rise in many nations and forced displacement at record highs worldwide.

It’s a lot to take in. And yet, hope remains.

At World Relief, we believe God designed his church — designed YOU — for such a time as this.

For nearly 80 years, across 100 countries, World Relief has been connecting people like you to the world’s greatest needs, empowering the local church to serve the most vulnerable where and when they need it most. We continue to live out that calling today, and now, we want you to join us as we:

• Welcome new neighbors from Afghanistan and other parts of the world — In August, our teams across the U.S. welcomed over 368 Afghans to their cities and expect to welcome thousands more in the coming months.
  
  
• Respond to the crisis in Haiti — Our strong network of local church partners in Les Cayes enabled us to lead the emergency response to August’s 7.2 magnitude earthquake. Together, we supported 1,200 of the most affected households with plans to support more in the coming months.
  
  
• Build resilience and create lasting change — At World Relief, we go beyond immediate assistance to empower local communities with sustainable solutions, equipping them with the tools they need to get through this crisis and beyond. As we have seen in the communities where we have worked, building up systems of resilience can lead families and communities toward a place of healing and unity.
