Hello!
I’m back in beloved Todos Santos, which we featured in our Where to Go list a year ago. Anecdotally, I had seen a steady creep on Instagram of tourists of late so was nervous I’d find it overrun. Instead, the peacefulness and relative emptiness of this town and its environs remain intact.
One place you’re unlikely to find much peace or emptiness is at Versailles. Long lines are de rigueur, as they say, and a visit is often anything but chic. But our lead story this week from Erin Zaleski shares a very different way to see its famed grounds–on horseback. In doing so you’ll be following in the steps of French royalty, most notably Marie Antoinette, who Zaleski dishes, was asked to stop riding for fear it would prevent her from getting pregnant!
This week we also have pieces from two of our signature series–Room Key and the Eat Sheet. For the former, my colleague Kevinisha Walker ventured down to Mexico to check out a Four Seasons property that’s a bit different from the group’s usual fare. For starters, the property in Punta Mita, Mexico, is made up of tents!
For the Eat Sheet, our destination dining guide, local writer Sharanya Deepak whipped up a very handy dive into the dining scene of iconic Delhi. I’m very much dying to get back to India, so when I am in Delhi I’ll definitely be putting it to good use. Enjoy!
