Hey, Creator. So you missed a few things. But that’s not your fault. We didn’t tell you. (Isn’t that frustrating?) Earlier this week, I wrapped up a short series on the art of reinvention as I’ve experienced it and the challenges involved in pursuing a new dream. If you missed those, here are Parts 1, 2, and 3. We also quietly dropped a new issue of the podcast called The Problem with a Brand wherein I rant on the inauthenticities latent in almost any personal brand—and the personal breakthroughs you can experience when you pay close attention to the story you’re trying to sell the world. That issue was inspired, in part, by a poem I wrote recently and published on Instagram. Speaking of branding, I recently did a couple of interviews on that topic. One was You’re More than a Brand on the Oversharing podcast. I loved this chat and how deep we got. If you’ve ever struggled with authenticity in an age of spin and over-marketing, you’ll like this conversation, and the whole podcast itself. Another recent interview I did was with my friend Ray Edwards, during which we talked about my process of re-creating a new life, building a book-production agency, and getting into ghostwriting. We also talked about how I helped Ray get a book deal with a major publisher. That one’s called My $150,000 Book Deal. Speaking of Ray, he and I are working on a fun project that we’ll be sharing more about soon. If you’ve ever wondered what it takes to reverse-engineer a bestselling book and how to get a traditional book publishing deal, stay tuned. More to come soon… That’s all for now! Have a great weekend, Jeff P.S. Do you struggle as a creator with the tension between being “authentic” and telling people what you know they want to hear? I do. Hit reply and tell me how you handle it all. :) Read in browser | Unsubscribe | Update your profile | 6300 Tower Circle #242, Franklin, TN 37067 |
