"You're a fraud mate... ...It's written in every word you type. It's all over your face. Shame on you mate." That's what my Australian 'friend' and Instagram troll George DM'd me last Friday. And I'll be honest... Even though I've been dealing with this sort of stuff for a while (probably 20 years). His comment still worked its way under my skin. (Which is probably a sign that I'm not cut out for politics) BUT the thing is... "Hate mail" like this isn't just normal... It's actually a sign that you're doing things right. As Winston Churchill put it... "You have enemies? Good. That means you stood for something at some point in your life." So if you aren't incurring the wrath of at least a few drunken keyboard complainers... ...It's likely a sign that you need to re-evaluate what you're doing. Because haters are a sign of significance and impact (I challenge you to name one notable leader who didn't have haters...I'll wait). But even though trolls and haters are a normal and necessary part of doing business... ...They can still be painful to deal with. No one likes being called a fraud. Or told that their life's work is a scam. Or recieving a colorfully worded novela about how they're "exactly what's wrong with America." But remember... you signed up for this. And so did I. If I want to enjoy the wealth and impact that comes from running profitable ads with my face on them all over the web... ...Then I have to be ok with not just taking the good But also the bad and ugly. So yes... 'Ol Georgie's comment did annoy me. And I did allow it to put me in a sour mood for about 22-seconds. But I'm used to this and I got over it pretty quickly. Mainly because I've developed habits, structures, and routines of steel. And if you are struggling with the ups and downs of the entrepreneurial roller coast... The haters. The refunds. The employees who leave you. The competitors who rip you off. The record-breaking days followed by crippling losses. Remember this: “You don't rise to the occasion ... you sink to the level of your training.” Whether this quote comes from Ancient Greeks or Navy SEALs, it’s true. Without a powerful and effective morning routine... Your life suddenly becomes overwhelming and unpredictable. Without a clear plan for the day... You will sink to the level of your environment, opting for distractions and vices instead of meaningful and important work. Without clear structures and strategies in place... You'll always get left behind and struggle to get ahead no matter how hard you work, how many hours you put in, or how much you know. The good news is... This foundation of this structure is relatively easy to create. And if you will simply... 1. Wake up at the same time every day (including weekends) 2. Set a consistent workout and/or meditation time 3. Spend the first 90-minutes of your morning on your #1 objective 4. And create an end of day routine that includes planning, reflection, and gratitude You'll be miles ahead of your competition before 9am. So start there. Experiment and make it stronger with time. These systems and routines will anchor you and support you through good times and bad. And when you have that... You can't lose. To Your Success, Craig P.S. On the same day that I got that message from George... I also got this message from my buddy Frank. “Hey Craig, I just want to thank you for everything. When we met in 2015 I was living in a 775sq foot apartment with no direction. Five years later and I just bought my dream home. I couldn't have done it without your help." Which message do you think I focused on ;) P.P.S. If you want my help growing your business and building the structure you need... ...So you can have the impact, income, and influence you deserve.
