This weekend, we're taking you to one of Houston's best brunch spots for pillowy "Italian" French toast and bottomless lattes. Then, it's out to the Hill Country to double down on massive burgers and boozy hand-spun milkshakes. We finish in Denton with a slice of flourless chocolate cake topped with a homemade honeycomb candy.

Pour a Glass
This weekend we’re pouring an inexpensive wine find from Italy, the Casa Lunardi Pinot Grigio ($11). Fresh and bright, with notes of pear, citrus, and a tiny hint of honey, it pairs well alongside fish, salads, and this Honey Butter Chicken with Lemon. Grab a bottle at your local H-E-B and tune in this weekend for more of Tanji’s favorite wine finds.
DIY: Honeycomb Candy
If you have a sweet tooth then you need to try this homemade honeycomb candy from Hannah’s Off the Square in Denton. The tiny airy bubbles give it a light, crunchy texture, plus it’s super easy to make. Eat it on its own or use it as a garnish on a slice of fudgy chocolate cake like they do at Hannah’s.
