The current disconnect between markets and the new economic reality is mind-boggling. |
Dear Reader, Investors are walking into a giant bear trap. Un- and underemployment rates are already approaching Great Depression-like numbers. But think about it… This financial crisis is barely two months old. At present, government programs and central bank stimulus are acting like masking agents. Hiding the true extent of the underlying damage to society. Without people — in sufficient numbers — having the capacity or desire to spend and borrow, the debt-funded economic growth model is destined to stall. The current disconnect between markets and the new economic reality is mind-boggling. It simply cannot last. This is going to get really, really ugly. And we could see things start to unravel starting this week. So what should you do? I have a strategy, which I outline here. Regards, | | James Woodburn, Group Publisher, Port Phillip Publishing |
