Subaru Pacific shared the love and a BIG check with Grades of Green at their Eco-Friendly Retailer certificated dealership last Thursday! With the support of Subaru Pacific, our SOAR Eco-Innovation Academy has received the fuel it needed to take off. We had a lot of fun celebrating with Gone to the Dogs Rescue, and Dineth from Whitney High School was thrilled to gift some furry friends with toys they made from donated clothing! Thank you LAcarGUY and Subaru Pacific for your decade-long support and partnership.
The Kings Care Foundation, with the help of Bailey, the LA Kings mascot, presented Grades of Green with a big check and a big win that put the Kings in the playoffs! Before the game, our students helped at the Kings' used sports gear drive, took a backstage eco-tour, and talked one-on-one with the heads of the sustainability department at AEG. This fall, we will be greening Hawthorne schools with hands-on help from the Kings and Bailey - we hope you will join us in the action!
This Earth Month, we had the opportunity to green the community with our longtime supporter and partner, Los Angeles County Sanitation District (LACSD), at their Earth Day Festival. At this event, we spread the word about our programs to students and teachers from all over the county. With LASCD's generous yearly support, we have been able to educate tens of thousands of students and community members throughout Los Angeles County. Students love touring their facilities to gain hands-on climate education, learning all about water treatment and turning waste into resources. Thank you LACSD for your dedication to Grades of Green and our Eco-Leaders!
Our community partners create big impacts, and so can YOU! With a donation to our Earth Appeal, you can add to that impact and inspire our Eco-Leaders to take environmental action in their communities and beyond.
