Activists call for firing, prosecution of state troopers involved in Ricky Cobb's death

Racial justice activists joined relatives of Ricky Cobb II Wednesday in calling for the firing and prosecution of the state troopers involved in the killing of the 33-year-old Black man during a traffic stop.

New Minnesota marijuana law forces menu choice: THC or booze, but not both

Minnesotans looking for a night out at a restaurant or bar face a choice under the state’s new marijuana law: booze or THC products, but not both.

The law that took effect Tuesday legalizing marijuana for recreational use by adults 21 and older also made changes to the state’s existing hemp-derived THC rules. And for some establishments, that means assessing what they’re offering and how.

White Earth Nation to begin recreational marijuana sales Thursday. Despite initially saying it might be weeks until sales begin, the White Earth Nation has moved up the opening of its recreational cannabis operation.

With cannabis legalized, Twin Cities partygoers celebrate end of ‘prohibition.’ People across the Twin Cities let out a breath of air on Tuesday – both in relief and with a cloud of smoke. It was the long-awaited first day that it was legal to possess and use cannabis recreationally in Minnesota (for adults 21 and older).
