Abortion opponents try to regroup after losing ground in Minnesota

The 2022 U.S. Supreme Court ruling that upended a nationwide right to a legal abortion has reverberated differently in Minnesota, where all-Democratic statehouse control has translated into new laws ensuring abortion access.

Both abortion opponents and access advocates said abortion would again be a key issue at the Capitol and on the campaign trail this year.

Miesota’s Dean Phillips hopes it aligns with the case he’s making against a fellow Democrat, President Joe Biden.

Anoka-Hennepin schools, teachers reach tentative agreement. Teachers in the district have been working without a contract since July. Final approval of the contract could occur as soon as the Feb. 26 school board meeting.
