Rainbow Wardrobe + Native art
Cooler temperatures return for the start of February. Highs in the 30s north and 40s south will still be much warmer than normal. We remain in a race with the warmest winter on record from 1877-78. February will decide if this is the warmest winter on record for the Twin Cities and much of Minnesota. Get the latest weather news on Updraft. Coming up on Morning Edition: Today marks six months since marijuana legalization went into effect in Minnesota. But that doesn’t mean it is widely available. At least not yet. Reporter Jacob Aloi looks at where we are and what lies ahead. Coming up at 9 a.m.: MPR News host Angela Davis talks with journalist and Minnesota native Michele Norris about her new book “Our Hidden Conversations: What Americans Really Think About Race and Identity.”

| | Demand grows for gender-affirming clothes as more LGBTQ+ people find Minnesota a good fit | Rainbow Wardrobe is a simple concept. It’s your classic fashion television show. Supporters say it’s an important need to fill as Minnesota’s status as a trans refuge for health care draws more people to the state. Loch says more than half of Rainbow Wardrobe’s visitors are new residents who moved to Minnesota due to the transgender protections passed last year by the Legislature. | |
