Snow will develop in central and northern Minnesota Tuesday morning with rain developing in the south. Significant snow will fall in the north and west into Wednesday. Get the latest on Updraft.

Details on Minnesota tax relief to become clearer next week

Minnesota lawmakers are set to break for an Easter and Passover recess this week. When they come back, they’ll unveil details of tax proposals that will detail how they’d like to send money back to Minnesota taxpayers.

Debates around tax relief, recreational cannabis, paid family and medical leave — as well as the bulk of a $72 billion budget proposal — are ahead. And details about what will make it through the DFL-controlled Capitol this year will become clearer in the next couple weeks.

Cleanup continues around Minnesota after snowstorm

Cleanup continued throughout Minnesota on Sunday after an April Fools’ Day snowstorm damaged trees, caused power outages, and made travel difficult across the region.

The National Weather Service reported 8.5 inches of snow at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. That pushes the season snow total to 89.7 inches — the third-greatest on record for the Twin Cities.

As of Sunday afternoon, Xcel Energy reported nearly 7,600 customers were still impacted by outages, mostly in the Twin Cities region. That’s down from more than 215,000 outages from the storm on Saturday.

Biden's Minnesota visit Monday will be at Fridley factory. President Joe Biden will visit the Cummins Power Generation Facility in Fridley on Monday as part of his administration’s “Investing in America” tour.

Minnesota DNR EagleCam nest falls from tree. The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources announced Sunday morning that the famous Eaglecam nest fell from its perch at around 7:54 a.m. The chick in the nest did not survive.

Minnesota postal workers rally for better wages, more staffing. United States Postal Service workers in Minneapolis held a rally at the downtown post office on Sunday to demand better wages and an end to the post office’s mandatory overtime policy.

In a supreme court race like no other, Wisconsin's political future is up for grabs. So much in Wisconsin could depend on a single seat on the state Supreme Court. Tuesday's winner will determine the court's sway and could change the state's abortion rights and redistricting.

What to know about Juan Merchan, the judge overseeing Trump's criminal case. A veteran of the New York trial court system, Merchan is no stranger to high-profile prosecutions — particularly those involving Trump and his associates.
