Get ready for Tuesday's primary election

Minnesota has a primary election with hundreds of races taking place across the state on Tuesday. MPR News has information on all of the races to help you learn more about the candidates that are seeking your vote.

Spend some time with MPR News’ Voter Guides to get caught up quickly. Candidates submitted their answers to three questions through a survey created in partnership with Populist, our nonpartisan civic information technology partner. This survey captures why candidates are running, their background and their priorities for their time in office.

You can help inform neighbors, colleagues or other community members who prefer to get their information in Spanish, Somali or Hmong. You will see the dropdown menu on several of the races offer translated versions of candidate responses.

Looking for a faster way to start learning about some of the candidates? We built quizzes based on candidate's responses. Take these  1-2 minute quizzes to learn more about candidates who want to represent you.
