| | It's a wrap: Fans say ‘Miigwech’ for ‘Star Wars’ in Ojibwe | The newly dubbed film is a collaboration between LucasFilm, the University of Manitoba and the Dakota Ojibway Tribal Council in Manitoba. It first premiered in Canada last month. “Seeing the famous yellow floating words in space in Ojibwe was so cool,” Skyler Kuczaboski said. “I don’t think that I ever would have guessed that I would be able to see that, especially on the big screen.” | |

| | Gov. Walz campaigns at Minnesota State Fair, eats pork chop and serves ice cream | Gov. Tim Walz, the Democratic vice presidential nominee, told visitors he was “happy” to spend a day at the Great Minnesota Get Together. The Walz drop-in was starkly different than his other fair visits over the years. There was immense security — from steel-barriers to a large presence of law enforcement— given his new national status. He couldn’t freely roam the fairgrounds and passersby were largely kept at a distance. Walz did serve ice cream and mingle with people and workers already in the dairy building. | |

| What else we're watching: | 🏥 CentraCare to expand space, services in St. Cloud area. CentraCare announced it's spending $228.8 million to expand two clinics in St. Cloud and Sartell. The expansion will create more space for outpatient services including orthopedics, neurosciences and rehabilitation — services that are in demand due to an aging population. 🪧 Israelis erupt in protest to demand a cease-fire after 6 more hostages die in Gaza. Tens of thousands of grieving and angry Israelis surged into the streets Sunday night after six more hostages were found dead in Gaza, chanting “Now! Now!” as they demanded that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reach a cease-fire with Hamas to bring the remaining captives home. 🏅 Minnesota swimmer Mallory Weggemann takes gold in Paris at the Paralympic Games. Swimmer Mallory Weggemann won the women’s 200 m. individual medley swimming competition final. Weggemann won in record-setting time to become the defending paralympic champion in the event. 🩺 Measles outbreak affects at least 30 in Minnesota, closes Somali religious school. The highly contagious virus has been spreading in child care centers and other gathering places, health officials said. They urged families to seek out vaccines ahead of the new school year. 🔥 Campfire explosion kills one; injures several others.
