At Shakopee prison, women grieve lost children, work toward redemption

Most incarcerated women in Minnesota have children. A new support group at Minnesota Correctional Facility - Shakopee is tailored to the specific grief these women feel that's often overlooked by society.

The support group at Shakopee may be the first of its kind aimed at a prison population. The hope is that by coming to terms with these losses — and the guilt associated with them — incarcerated people will develop the coping skills they need to stay out of jail in the future.

As cannabis legalization approaches in Minnesota, local businesses prepare for home growers

In just a couple of months, Minnesotans will be able to grow their cannabis and local businesses are eager to help them get started.

But there is one thing businesses can’t sell yet — cannabis seed.

Generations of Minnesotans remember sacrifice of service members at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. A solemn ceremony honoring fallen Minnesota troops Monday touched on service through generations. 

State lawmakers include $7M in bonding bill for St. Cloud children's museum. The idea for the Great River Children's Museum has been in the works since 2012.

Authorities ID teen who drowned in St. Croix River at Interstate State Park. A body pulled from the St. Croix River near Taylor Falls on Saturday was identified as a missing 18-year-old Wisconsin man.

Rare bear attack injures woman near Nisswa. It happened at a cabin near Gull Lake on Friday shortly after midnight after a woman let her dog outside.
