Scattered showers and thunderstorms appear likely for Tuesday night and Wednesday. And while the showers are likely to be scattered, it looks like most of Minnesota will get at least some rain. And some spots could pick up a half inch or more. Get the latest weather news on Updraft.

MnDOT details plans for the future of I-94

Minnesotans can give their feedback on what to do with a busy stretch of Interstate 94 between Minneapolis and St. Paul, the 7.5 miles marred in a history of displacing and polluting communities along the corridor. That’s why the state is rethinking its approach for the decades ahead.

“At this stage we are attempting to understand what alternatives best serve the transportation needs of surrounding communities and businesses, as well as others who use I-94 as part of their travel,” said Jessica Karls, Director of Transportation Design for MnDOT.

Frey recommends 3rd Precinct station not go back to Lake Street or nearby — for now. The City of Minneapolis is scrapping proposals to return the 3rd Precinct police station to its former place on Lake Street or find the precinct a new home near 26th and Minnehaha avenues. 

What Russia's Black Sea grain blockade could mean for Minnesota. Russia’s decision to pull out of the agreement to let Ukrainian grain shipments pass through the Black Sea could have ripple effects for Minnesota agribusiness firms such as Cargill, farmers and the East African community. 

Morrison County deputy struck by vehicle is stable, improving. Deputy Brady Pundsack, 26, of Flensburg, was directing traffic leaving from the Freedom Fest music festival in Pierz Saturday night when he was struck by an SUV. He was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with life-threatening injuries.  

Abortion in Iowa is legal again, for now, after a judge blocks new restrictions. An Iowa judge on Monday temporarily blocked the state’s new ban on most abortions after about six weeks of pregnancy, just days after Gov. Kim Reynolds signed the measure into law.

Veterans' PACT Act deadline approaching. The 2022 SFC Heath Robinson Honoring our PACT Act expands benefits to veterans exposed to burn pits and Agent Orange during the Vietnam War and other toxic substances during the Gulf, Iraq, Afghanistan wars.
