Transforming seems like an action that we must do. Rather, in the quiet, we let go. We do not work. Through the quiet of adoration we come to know even deeper the relational aspects of who we are as the created in the image of God. We are the image of God. We are one with the One. We awaken to the refreshing, peaceful, and healing elements of God within our very being. It is contemplation that envelopes us in the “largeness” of the now. Awareness draws us into “the More.” Becoming “More” moves us outward to embrace the transforming aspects of touching those who are hurting, working to correct the systems of oppression, and advocating for the “little ones.” The call to respond is clear: Go and be God’s hands, God’s voice, and God’s love for all.
Loving One, you call me time and time again to accept my true identity. Sometimes, I would rather shun the full implications of my being and live in a manner that makes me “small” and therefore inadequate to respond to the needs of this day. Forgive me and keep pestering me with the true message! I do yearn to accept the quiet transformation of my “entire being into the image of the Godhead Itself.” May it be done. Amen.
