Minnesota is all over the place right now.

Us northern folks will see some scattered showers and more clouds along with the cooler temperatures into tomorrow. 

It’ll be warm for much of southern Minnesota and dry until late Friday evening and overnight in the Twin Cities and southeastern Minnesota. Get the latest on Updraft.

Minneapolis pays $9 million to settle Chauvin excessive force suits
John Pope, 20, and Zoya Code, 40, sued the city last year, alleging former MPD Officer Derek Chauvin kneeled on their necks in separate incidents in 2017. Pope — who was 14 at the time of his encounter with Chauvin — settled for $7.5 million. Code settled for $1.375 million.

🥓 Windom pork processing plant faces potential closure, loss of 1,000 jobs
If the plant can't find a buyer, about 1,000 workers at a pork processing facility in southwest Minnesota could lose their jobs starting next week. HyLife Foods said it purchased the Windom plant in 2020 “with a goal of turning operations around.”
🙇 Mosque prayer broadcasts approved by Minneapolis City Council
"This is a historic victory." Passing 12-0, Minneapolis has amended its noise ordinance to allow mosques to broadcast the call to prayer five times a day.
🛠 Thief River Falls, Digi-Key bet housing and day care can lure workers to NW Minn.
Thief River Falls is home to Digi-Key, an anchor employer that has remained firmly rooted in northwest Minnesota despite a tight labor market and a shortage of affordable housing and child care. In a bid to make the community more attractive to potential workers, it's luring more developers and day care providers to the community.
🕯️ Fallen Wisconsin police officers remembered at candlelight vigil
A large crowd gathered as the sun set Wednesday evening in Cameron, Wis., for a candlelight vigil in memory of two police officers fatally shot during a traffic stop last weekend. Colleagues spoke about Chetek police officer Emily Breidenbach, 32, and Cameron police officer Hunter Scheel, 23.
