Police, federal authorities probe St. Paul mosque fire
This morning's mosque fire was at the Oromo American Tawhid Islamic Center, 430 Dale Street, just north of I-94 in St. Paul. The building was unoccupied and under renovation. No injuries were reported. Police say there was no immediate evidence that the fire was motivated by religious or racial enmity.

Feds charge man in Minnesota 'Wizard of Oz' ruby slippers theft
Terry Martin was indicted this week for stealing an object of cultural heritage from the care, custody or control of a museum. The indictment, filed in Minneapolis, alleges in 2005 he stole an authentic pair of ruby slippers Judy Garland wore in the 1939 film, taking them from the Judy Garland Museum in Grand Rapids, Minn.

Target predicted more than $500 million in losses from shoplifting this year, on top of the $650 million in losses last fiscal year. It's also seeing more violent incidents at stores and doesn't want to close stores because that hurts workers and the community, it said.
🚨 Minnesota man accused of building arsenal to fight police pleads guilty
A Savage, Minn. man, who told an FBI informant he was building an arsenal of automatic weapons to use against police and admired mass shooters, has pleaded guilty to illegally possessing a machine gun. Sentencing will be scheduled later for River Smith, 21, with a maximum sentence of 10 years.
