Hundreds of people flooded the Capitol grounds every week to display their heritage, describe their culture and show their support. Candlelight vigil in Minneapolis marks third anniversary of police killing of George Floyd
38th and Chicago, George Floyd Square: A crowd marched last night to the nearby Say Their Names Cemetery, where headstones display the names of Black people killed by police. As they walked, some people at the vigil spread flower petals along the way. Here are the photos, captured by our phenomenal crew.

🏢 3 years later, some north Minneapolis businesses are still recovering from unrest
Three years ago, the Twins Cities area broke out in unrest after Minneapolis police murdered George Floyd on May 25. Though much of the focus was on south Minneapolis, small businesses in north Minneapolis suffered damage and losses as well.
🛶 First woman and first Anishinaabe leads Grand Portage National Monument
Anishinaabe have long occupied Grand Portage National Monument land on the very northeast tip of Minnesota. The first woman and first Anishinaabe person now holds the National Park Service position. Her name is Heather Boyd. Here's her story.
HyLife H-2B employees face unknown future
The HyLife pork processing plant in Windom is being auctioned off today, about half of the plant’s 1,000 workers are scrambling to find new jobs. “That means cutting leases short, that means pulling children out of school. That means completely uprooting everything that they have because they’re no longer going to be able to lawfully work under their current immigration status here in the United States.”
🚨 Two teens injured in stabbing, fight during evening event at Mpls high school
Officers found a 17-year-old boy with non-life-threatening injuries. There reportedly was a fight after the stabbing that dispersed as police arrived. Responding officers heard gunshots and soon located a 16-year-old boy with a gun in a nearby yard.
🏥 'COVID emergency' over means concerns over loss of health insurance
Nearly 1.5 million Minnesotans are required to renew their state-sponsored health insurance over the next couple of years. So far about two percent have lost coverage. If that rate continues, approximately 30,000 Minnesotans could lose coverage. 
⛽ Authorities investigating gasoline leak at southern Minnesota gas station
Gasoline in lake Crystal, Minn. has entered groundwater and the city’s sanitary sewer system. There’s a chance fumes could enter homes and businesses in Lake Crystal. Anyone who smells gasoline fumes is asked to contact the local fire department.
