Potent hemp products, unpaid bills raise questions about new Minnesota cannabis czar

The newly-named head of Minnesota’s marijuana regulatory agency sold products that exceeded state limits on THC potency, owes money to former associates and accumulated  tens of thousands of dollars in tax liens. "I can't trust her,” Teri Smith she said. “I would not support her in any type of role where she's in charge of people's money and lives."

Kudos from U: New Minnesota apple variety is cross between Honeycrisp, Zestar

Minnesota apple lovers have a reason to celebrate this fall harvest season: The famous Honeycrisp and Zestar varieties have had an apple baby named Kudos. The crunchy, red Kudos is the 29th apple variety released by the University of Minnesota. Get ready to eat it in the coming years while trees develop. “We want just the perfect apple,” a U apple breeder said.

🏢 Duluth office-to-apartment conversion sparks downtown revitalization hope
A Duluth developer announced plans this week to convert a 50-year old downtown office building into apartments. It’s the first of what the city hopes will be several office-to-housing conversions in the next several years as Duluth works to revitalize its downtown post-pandemic.
