⚠️ St. Paul authorities say 8-year-old boy missing since Tuesday
The St. Paul Police Department is asking the public for help in finding missing Michael Bryant, last seen at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday walking from his home in the 700 block of Winslow Avenue in St. Paul. He was wearing a gray t-shirt, blue jeans and no shoes.
💰 Minnesota officials overshot tax rebate estimate by $144M
Minnesota Department of Revenue officials said they used 2019 income tax returns to set their estimate for rebate checks. Those were adjusted to account for population growth between 2019 and 2021. But that led to an overcount of how many dependents could be covered.
🦃 Avian flu detected in Meeker County turkey flock
A commercial turkey flock in Meeker County has been destroyed after health officials confirmed it tested positive for highly pathogenic avian influenza. The flock of 140,000 birds is the first confirmed case of the virus in Minnesota since last spring.
