Karl Thomas Holmberg faces 12 charges in shooting that injured 5 officers
Charges are filed against a rural Benton County man accused of shooting five law enforcement officers during an hourslong standoff yesterday. He faces 12 counts, including six counts of first-degree attempted murder of a police officer and six counts of first-degree assault against a police officer.

Fall has fallen! Peep these vibrant fall colors on the North Shore

📜 Minneapolis school board denounces racial covenants found at elementary school
Previous owners of the land that Lake Harriet Lower School sits on added the racial covenants to land parcels when developing the Linden Hills neighborhood almost 100 years ago. When the c ovenants were brought to the attention of the Minneapolis school board, they wanted to act swiftly to discharge the documents.
📕 Authors with banned books talk about protecting access to stories
More than 1,200 books were censored or removed from U.S. public school classrooms and libraries during the 2022-23 school year, compared to only 333 in the previous school year. Here's some perspective from a few of those authors themselves.
