Let it fly: Minnesota officially has a new flag
The State Emblems Redesign Commission made its final edits to the new state flag. The banner will go up in May unless lawmakers intervene.

Duluth Indigenous-led nonprofit close to opening expanded shelter
The American Indian Community Housing Organization, or AICHO, has nearly finished a more than $2 million project in Duluth to expand the region’s only culturally specific domestic violence emergency shelter.

Announced on Monday, the federal move is a step toward accountability amid growing calls to close loopholes that allow law enforcement officers to be rehired by other agencies after losing their jobs or resigning after misconduct allegations.
