MPR News PM Update

Jan. 25, 2023

Good evening,

Tonight and tomorrow's weather is dull compared to what's ahead, temperature wise. Friday through Monday the Twin Cities will see a frigid air mass, rivaling the coldest air of the season. Expect five or six nights of subzero temps, warming up into the 20s or 30s a week from Friday. Snow here in the Red River Valley will sail into the metro later on Thursday and there may be some lingering snow for Friday morning’s rush hours.

🌍 Trip update: Angela Davis on Robben Island
MPR News host Angela Davis boarded the ferry for Robben Island. For nearly 400 years, Robben Island was a place of banishment, exile, isolation and imprisonment. "We walked throughout the prison grounds and heard stories about the inhumane treatment of the inmates. We also saw Nelson Mandela’s cell. It’s extremely small," she said. Here's our live blog of the trip.
