Happy Monday!

We’re about to get a clear example of our warming winters tomorrow when a low-pressure storm tracks into Minnesota. It'll be warm enough for mostly rain in the Twin Cities and southern Minnesota, and snow in much of western, central and northern Minnesota. Check out the latest on Updraft.

Fatal stabbing at Harding High leaves students, staff ‘heartbroken,’ ‘helpless’
Classes at St. Paul's Harding High School are canceled today and tomorrow after last week's fatal stabbing of a 15-year-old. A vigil is set to take place tonight to honor him.

Duluth-based fighter downs flying object over Lake Huron; 4th incident in 8 days
A U.S. fighter jet shot down an “unidentified object” over Lake Huron on Sunday on orders from President Joe Biden. It was the fourth such downing in eight days.

🔨 Round Lake-Brewster schools return to voters with a $30.48 million for buildings
This week the Round Lake-Brewster School District is asking voters to approve a $30.48 million bond referendum to address building needs — for the second time. School officials say with inflation raising the cost of living, it’s harder to get such bonds passed.
🎤 Blizzo supremacy: Lizzo thanks Osseo 6th graders for snowplow tribute
Emmy and four-time Grammy award winning recording artist Lizzo gave a shoutout this weekend to Osseo Middle School, where students championed an effort to name a MnDOT snowplow after her.
