You've been warned: It's about to get snowy snowy. Like, possibly record-breaking snowy. Much of the state will see 3-7" by tomorrow morning; by Thursday morning, expect 1-3" per hour and 15-21" total in the cities. We have live updates here, or get the latest on Updraft.

Closings begin, officials warn of 'historic' snowstorm's coming dangers
State authorities and weather forecasters plead for caution and vigilance as a massive multiday snowstorm arrives to Minnesota. St. Paul and Minneapolis are declaring snow emergencies and closing school buildings. Wind gusts this afternoon are creating zero visibility in some areas. Expect impacts through Friday.

Minnesota’s largest voter-eligibility change in half century nears passage
A bill that would permit felons to vote again after leaving jail or prison is making significant progress in the Minnesota Legislature right now. Basically, once a person leaves custody they’d have their voting rights automatically restored. It already passed the House; this is the last stop before Gov. Tim Walz's expected signature.

👛 Sports betting bill at Minnesota Legislature would put tribes in charge
Minnesota Democrats are partnering with tribal nations to legalize sports betting online and at tribal casinos: "Only through legalization can we provide consumer protection" and "honestly deal with the terrible issue of problem gambling."
