Minnesota lawmakers to get a 7.25 percent salary bump
Minnesota lawmakers are set to get a $3,500 salary increase, putting their yearly incomes at $51,750. For taxpayers, costs will increase about $894,000 a year.

She had been suffering from severe degenerative arthritis, and zoo staff noted how that is particularly difficult for a large animal that spent 20 hours a day on her feet. They said her quality of life had declined to a point where zookeepers decided to euthanize her.
