Boy, does that feel nice to say. Spring! Well... sort of: Tomorrow brings wet snow to central and northern Minnesota — but mostly rain to all y'all in the Twin Cities and southern Minnesota. Get the latest on Updraft.

Stillwater lift bridge
Amid grim forecasts, Stillwater braces for worst spring flooding in 22 years
Starting Wednesday, the city will close riverside parks and start sandbagging. The lift bridge will also be closed to pedestrians for a period and the city recommends people start clearing out their basements. “It’s really the duration that kills us."

Minnesota House passes bill that shields abortion providers, out-of-state patients
The Reproductive Freedom Defense Act prohibits extraditing, arresting or releasing medical records of people from other states who obtain a legal abortion in Minnesota. It now moves to Senate committees for a vote.

Bob Haddow (Barber Bob) has seen downtown change and develop and, in the last few years, get quieter. But the barbershop has stayed mostly the same. He still charges $25 for every haircut — except for one buddy who usually pays him with a bottle of wine.
🤳 TikTok puts eyes on Legislature as social media bills pile up
Proposed bills touch on content, guardrails and other aspects of omnipresent social media. One would prohibit those with more than 1 million accounts from using algorithms to steer specific content to people under 18.
🏠 Two administrators fired amid concerns over Hastings Veterans Home
Their firings come amid complaints of a toxic work environment, as well as concerns about safety and medical care.
