The weather maps are looking slightly more springy in the next few days. A bubble of high pressure will bring more sunshine by tomorrow afternoon. And the overall weather pattern from Thursday through Saturday looks brighter and milder. Latest on Updraft.

Large fire at western Minnesota John Deere dealer under control after prompting evacuations
The fire last night forced people from their homes and closed a state highway for hours. It also ruptured a local gas line, complicating efforts to bring the flames under control. The fire destroyed the dealership’s offices and shop.

Starbucks workers picket at three locations in Twin Cities
At more than 100 stores nationwide, the strike was to demand “basic rights like livable wages with consistent scheduling, safe and respectful workplaces, and the right to organize free from fear and intimidation," organizers said. It comes a day before the company’s shareholder meeting.

Gov. Walz's growing appearances on national news outlets shows his agenda's contrast what’s happening in other states with Republican governors. That includes today's move: adding a Little Free Library with banned or restricted books at the Capitol.
