I regret to inform you that every person whose LinkedIn profile you have browsed — including your ex, that friend you had a falling out with, an old coworker, etc. — has likely been informed that you were checking them out. That’s a lesson Ronelle, a 23-year-old law student in New Hampshire, learned the hard way: After checking out her ex’s profile, she received a text from him that said, “Viewing my LinkedIn, eh?”

Let me spare you future embarrassment: follow these steps to make all future browsing anonymous. You’re welcome.
