Good morning, Marketer, the future is here now.

We’ve got the inside scoop on what Google’s new, generative-AI enabled search experience will look like. The interface will likely display an AI-generated answer above the search results listings.

That answer is clearly labeled with “Generative AI is experimental,” which can’t be said often enough. Also, for safety’s sake, the company won’t let the AI answer questions on medical issues. The company may also ban questions on finance and civic information.

We look at how this will impact the shopping vertical and many other parts of how we all interact with Google.
