Vince Malta, president of the National Association of REALTORS®, shared an encouraging message on social media last week that we wanted to share here: The REALTOR® family has your back. And what a family to be a part of: NAR members are important beacons of hope for communities struggling with the toll of the coronavirus. Many real estate pros who also lead extraordinary charitable efforts are overcoming tough odds to deliver food, shelter, and health care to the most vulnerable citizens.
But whoâs helping you watch out for the health of your business? NAR is by working with Congress to ensure that economic relief measures for Americans, now under debate in the Senate, recognize the needs of independent contractors and small businesses. As Malta and NAR CEO Bob Goldberg say in an email going to all members today, NAR has been working on a number of fronts, from seeking tax extensions to having real estate declared an essential service.
