For 15 years, we’ve been all about lifetime deals (LTDs)—and those aren’t going anywhere. But, we’re also making a BIG move to increase partner sustainability with new kinds of deals:

We sat down with Chief Sumo Noah Kagan to talk about what he's learned after 15 years of building businesses, failing (a lot), and growing AppSumo into what it is today. Here are three learnings:

Consistency matters. Most people give up too early. Those who succeed are the ones who keep showing up, week after week, for months or even years.
Know your numbers. Doesn’t matter if it’s personal finance or business revenue. Understanding where your money is coming from + where it’s going = long-term success.
Surround yourself with the right people. You don’t need a huge network. You need the right network—people who challenge you, open doors, and push you forward.

Partners then and now

In 15 years, we’ve seen our partners accomplish some pretty incredible things after their AppSumo launch. Some noteworthy ones:

SocialBee (AppSumo launch: February 2018) powered 10M+ social media posts and was acquired by WebPros.
WhisperTranscribe (AppSumo launch: December 2023) grew from 500 to 37,000 users, transcribed 4.5M minutes of audio in 2024, and introduced in-app video cutting.
Remo (AppSumo launch: March 2020) was recognized by G2 as a Leader in Virtual Event Platforms and acquired by Events.com.
