Cocktails and incredible views on Florattica's rooftop terrace

Here's a fantastic way to — ahem — elevate your after-work drinks game now that London is warming up. On the 11th floor of Canopy by Hilton London City hotel you'll find a sun-soaked oasis that serves up incredible Square Mile views alongside expertly-crafted cocktails.

This is Florattica: a gem of a rooftop bar just two minutes' walk from Aldgate station. You might have seen its stunning floral canopy doing the rounds on socials (the interior design is inspired by East London’s textile industry and the silk woven floral patterns created by local 17th century French Huguenots). But its open-air terrace deserves just as much love, with its sweeping City vistas, featuring St Paul's Cathedral and Canary Wharf.

As for those cocktails? The floral theme continues in the form of the Rose Mule and Avalon (respectively laced with rose petal and violet liquors), but all tastes are catered for -- we're especially intrigued by the mezcal-based Alux, which includes a scoop of Aperol sorbet. You can pair your drinks with a simple yet elegant menu of small plates during the week, or indulge in its weekend brunch menu, which has a bottomless bubbles option. With the whole of summer still to come, it'd be rude not to sample both of them....
