Restored tribal land ends uncertainty for a family living on Mille Lacs Lake

A bill passed by the state Legislature returning the land is not so much an example of "land back" — a phrase which has gained traction from tribal nations in the past few years — but rather a restoration of title to the land. Mille Lacs band members say they never left.

St. Cloud native Alise Willoughby misses the medal in BMX racing, gets 6th place

Still, her great aunt calls her hardworking, successful, humble and "a total role model for young people" Willoughby took home a sliver medal from the Rio Games in 2016. She crashed out of the semifinals at the London Games in 2012 and Tokyo Games in 2021.

A Gov. Tim Walz adviser says the governor will appear at organizing kickoffs and smaller-scale rallies in New Hampshire on Sunday. Speculation continues to mount over whether Harris will ask Walz to join the Democratic ticket as her vice presidential running mate.
