Strike avoided as St. Paul teachers, district reach contract deal

Leaders of St. Paul’s teachers union have reached a tentative agreement with the school district on contracts as a March 11 strike date neared. That means there will not be a strike and schools will remain open.

Minnesota bill would bar schools, local governments from removing pride flags

The bill’s author said that in response to a school district removing a rainbow flag, the state should take action to protect teachers or officials who choose to fly it.
