2 injured after plane crashes in Shakopee park

Authorities said two people aboard the aircraft were transported to a hospital after the plane went down at about noon at Scenic Heights Park, near East Middle School. There was no immediate word on their conditions. Police said there were no reports of other injuries.

🚨 Moorhead police seek clues 10 years after homicide of college student
Moorhead police say because of recent advancements in DNA technology they are reviewing previously collected evidence. Tom Bearson, from Sartell, had recently started his freshman year at North Dakota State University in Fargo. He was last seen early on the morning on Sept. 20, 2014 when he left a house party near the campus. His body was discovered in the lot of a Moorhead recreational vehicle dealer three days later.
⛺ Minneapolis City Council votes to track homeless encampment evictions
The new ordinance requires city staff to submit quarterly reports covering each eviction, including the number of people impacted, the number of shelter beds available at the time and the number of staff who help clear the camp. Council member Aurin Chowdhury helped author the bill. She said the city needs more information about its homelessness response.

According to meteorologist and climatologist Mark Seeley, climate stations are recording temperatures of 5 to 8 degrees Fahrenheit above normal. The heat also comes with dry weather as parts of south western Minnesota officially re-entered drought for the first time in months.

“Rosette” is a new play that will premiere this weekend in Minneapolis. It will be performed at the Mixed Blood space and is produced by New Arab American Theater Works, which describes the play as being the story of “a young Palestinian woman, born in 1948, the year of the Israeli occupation of Palestine.”

FluMist itself is not new — the live attenuated influenza vaccine has had FDA approval for more than two decades. But the ability for adults to order the vaccine at home to administer to people ages 2 to 49 is a breakthrough in convenience and access to preventative care.

The Israeli military launched an airstrike in a suburb of Lebanon’s capital on Friday, after a deadly week of attacks that have intensified the fighting between Israel and the Iran-backed Lebanese militia Hezbollah.
