Happy St. Patrick's Day weekend! It'll be colder than Ireland's weather this weekend: Overnight into Saturday brings a few light rain and snow showers to northern Minnesota. Saturday brings much colder temperatures (highs will hover in the 30s north with 40s south.) Get more on Updraft.

Lessons from Texas as Uber, Lyft threaten to leave the Twin Cities like they did there

In the interim without Uber and Lyft, smaller companies cropped up in Austin, Texas, to meet demand — though they were later undercut by the duopoly. Some believe something similar could happen in the Twin Cities within a few months.

Sold for scrap: Franconia Sculpture Park removes sculpture by founder

“Prometheus III” was dismantled and sold to a savage yard. The artist, John Hock, said he thought it was a theft and reported it to the police. Franconia says it asked Hock to move what they called the unsafe piece several times over the years, and said the nonprofit had no obligation to house it.

🧑‍🏫 St. Paul teachers OK new contract set to boost pay, benefits
The deal includes a salary increase for licensed staff, school and community service professionals and educational assistants. The St. Paul school board is set to review and vote on the agreement next week.
