The Minnesota State Fair is still almost five months away — but on Memorial Day weekend, fair fans can get an early taste of the festivities at the fourth annual Kickoff to Summer at the Fair.

Minnesota Chippewa Tribe primary elections take place Tuesday

The six member nations of the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe are voting in primary elections Tuesday. Two candidates from each race for leadership positions will advance to the general election in June.

Testimony continued Tuesday in the murder trial of a Minnesota man charged in the fatal stabbing of a teenager during a tubing trip in western Wisconsin in the summer of 2022.
🏛️ Final three defendants plead guilty in Minnesota murder case taken away from local prosecutor
In a plea agreement, Erick Haynes pleaded guilty Monday to one count of first-degree murder in the 2022 death of Zaria McKeever. Eriana Haynes and Tavion James pleaded guilty to one count each of aiding an offender after the fact for helping to cover up the shooting.
