Trump to make 1st campaign stop in Minnesota of latest presidential run

After losing Minnesota twice, former President Donald Trump has been telling backers he has a chance to put the state on the map in 2024. He’ll come to a Republican Party fundraising dinner in St. Paul next week.

Minneapolis educator named Minnesota Teacher of the Year

After leaving a career in the financial world, ninth grade English teacher Tracy Byrd became a teacher in 2017. Seven years later, he received the Minnesota Teacher of the Year award amid a minute-long standing ovation.

DFL Leaders want to put a constitutional amendment before Minnesota voters in 2026 that would extend to abortion rights and gender identity. It differs from a version that cleared the state Senate.
🚖 Lawmakers, Minneapolis council members reach rideshare driver deal — but Uber and Lyft aren’t on board
The agreement at the state Legislature would set both Minneapolis and statewide wages for drivers at $1.27 per mile and $0.49 per minute. Uber and Lyft say they’ll stop operations in Minnesota if the statewide legislation is enacted.

Hamas said it accepted a proposal for a cease-fire. Israel responded that the deal didn't meet its requirements and announced it was pushing ahead with an assault in Rafah.

Joseph Johns had been working as a volunteer with the Eden Prairie Fire Department since 2015 and in 2020, he joined the Eagan Fire Department as a career firefighter.
⚡ Duluth electric utility owner Allete sold for $6.2 billion
Allete is the parent company of Minnesota Power, which serves about 150,000 customers across northeastern Minnesota. That includes several taconite mines and processing plants, which are some of the largest industrial electric customers in the country.
♿ Disabled riders in Twin Cities weigh transit options as potential rideshare exit approaches
Almost every day, Mark Hughes rolls his wheelchair into a Metro Mobility van. He’s one of 18,000 Twin Cities residents who are signed up for the service and is worried about more people riding Metro Mobility if Uber and Lyft leave the Twin Cities on July 1.
🚨 Three killed, three seriously injured in central Minnesota crash
Three people died and three others were critically injured in a head-on crash early Sunday in central Minnesota. The State Patrol said the crash may have involved drunken driving.
