🌪️ Expect strong to severe storms to move east across Minnesota Tuesday evening. The most likely window for storms in the greater Twin Cities is between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Get the latest on Updraft.

Tornado watch: Severe storms could produce tornadoes across much of Minnesota

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Storm Prediction Center has issued a tornado watch for much of Minnesota until 8 p.m. A watch means conditions are favorable for the development of tornadoes in and close to the watch area.

White Earth Nation pauses enforcement of water use ordinance

The White Earth Nation is pausing enforcement of a water use ordinance and will form a regional task force to study water quality and quantity issues. They also repealed the five-mile buffer area around the reservation for water use regulation.

🚨Retired Sartell police chief dies after bicycle hit by semi

A former central Minnesota police chief died last week when the bicycle he was riding was hit by a semitruck. Seventy-four-year-old Robert Ringstrom was police chief of Sartell until he retired in 2004.

🚓Singer Justin Timberlake arrested and accused of driving while intoxicated on New York’s Long Island

Timberlake was released from custody later in the morning after being arraigned in Sag Harbor, on the eastern end of Long Island. He was charged with one DWI count, with his next court date scheduled for July 26, the Suffolk County district attorney’s office said.
