U of M faculty vote ‘no confidence’ in interim president, provost over Holocaust center hiring
The University of Minnesota’s Faculty Senate took a vote of no confidence Wednesday in Interim President Jeff Ettinger and Provost Rachel Croson, after the president paused the hiring process for the new director of the U’s Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies.

Owners of flood-imperiled Rapidan Dam Store vow to reopen; community rallies to support family

The rain-swollen river has carved an increasingly large channel around the Rapidan Dam. That erosion toppled the home belonging to the Hruska family on Tuesday night.

💰 Alleged cash courier pleads not guilty to bribing Feeding Our Future juror
Ladan Mohamed Ali made her first appearance before Magistrate Judge Douglas Micko in St. Paul on Thursday. Ali, 31, of Seattle, is one of five people charged with trying to bribe a woman known publicly as juror 52 as the trial was wrapping up.

🦬 Tribes honor the birth of rare white buffalo and reveal its name: Wakan Gli
In a gathering near a picturesque lake outside Yellowstone National Park, hundreds of people cheered Wednesday as a Native American leader spoke the name revealed on a painted hide for a rare white buffalo that was born in the park earlier this month: Wakan Gli, which means "Return Sacred" in Lakota.
