Some of our fees are increasing from 1 May 2024 We review our fees every year to make sure theyre set at the right level. Our fees must cover the cost of the services we deliver. Improving the accuracy of the Companies House register One of the key aims of the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act is to improve the quality of the data on our registers. We'll soon start to use our new powers to correct or query information that's provided to us. Over time, this will improve the integrity of the information on the register. Stop! Think Fraud The UK government has launched a national campaign against fraud. Stop! Think Fraud has been designed to give people knowledge and tools to stay ahead of scams. It provides vital guidance to help spot fraud, stay safe, and know what to do if targeted. The campaign website includes a dedicated section to help protect your business from fraud. Webinar recording: Get ready for changes to UK company law We recently hosted a webinar to help businesses find out more about the upcoming changes to UK company law. The webinar covered the following topics: new rules for registered office addresses a requirement for all companies to supply a registered email address new lawful purpose statements Event: Australia and New Zealand Roadshow 2024 From 6 to 14 March 2024 officials from the Department for Business and Trade from Australia and New Zealand are visiting 6 UK cities. Theyll be connecting with export-ready UK businesses interested in expanding into, or growing their sales in Australia and New Zealand. Businesses can expect: new free trade agreements with these markets to learn about the export opportunities that exist to meet an exciting guest list of senior officials, such as HM Trade Comissioner for Asia Pacific, market advisers, and other exporting businesses New laws to introduce digital labelling The government intends to legislate to continue recognition of current EU requirements - including the CE marking for a range of products - this spring. This means businesses will have the flexibility to use either the UKCA or CE marking to sell a range of products in Great Britain. This will reduce burdens and costs for businesses whilst maintaining consumer safety. The government will also be introducing a range of labelling measures, including optional digital labelling, in the spring. |
