Dear Voornaam,

We hope you are well, and looking forward to reconnecting with family, friends and the country as restrictions loosen further. We’re excited too, and have been marking the end of lockdown with a celebration of 204 years of telling Scotland's stories.

But as our readers are a key part of the stories we tell, we want to bring you into the picture… literally. From Monday 17 May, until midnight of Sunday 30 May, we’re running our “My Local Landmark” competition.

Simply take a selfie at a local landmark that you feel best captures the spirit and history of Scotland- anything from churches to chippies, statues to street art, we want to see the history of our country through your eyes. Send your selfie to sam.shedden@jpimedia.co.uk including your full name, email address, the name of your location and tell us why it is your favourite.

A shortlist of the best entries will also be compiled into a photo article that may be featured in print and online. Plus, one lucky winner will receive £50 high street vouchers from one4allrewards.co.uk allowing them to spend their winnings in over 55,000 stores nationwide.

And even if you don’t win, we’re giving all entrants an exclusive promo code for 40% off an annual or monthly subscription to The Scotsman.

Looking forward to seeing your snaps!

Best wishes,

The team at The Scotsman
