For Canadians living with cancer, and the people who love them, this year has been especially difficult. They are turning to us at the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) to help them get through this challenging time, but as 2020 draws to a close, our funding is significantly behind where it needs to be.

COVID-19 has meant that we’ve had to cancel all of our in-person fundraising events, resulting in a dramatic drop in revenue. This is the greatest financial challenge CCS has faced in its 80-year history.

As the EVP of FinanceÂ —Â and a cancer survivorÂ —Â I’m deeply concerned about the impact this historic shortfall will have on people’s lives.

Now, more than ever, people living with cancer need your help.
